Based on the doctor's prescription, we prepare the medication so that the patient can use it appropriately and then provide the medication after explaining it to them. When dispensing, pharmacists check the dosage and “dosage combination,” and in cases of uncertainties, they confirm the details with the prescribing physician (Most of our outpatients are prescribed in-house).
Injectable drugs, as per oral medications, are dispensed for each patient to ensure that the medication is administered appropriately according to the doctor's instructions. When dispensing, various checks are made, such as “dosage,” “speed of the infusion being administered,” and “changes in the combination of injectable drugs,” and in cases of uncertainties, they are checked with the physician before being dispensed.
Medication guidance is part of a service called “drug administration and guidance services” that pharmacists provide at the request of physicians. Hospitalized patients are explained the effects, administration method, and precautions of their current medications. We also check during the conversation to see if there are any problems with the medication, such as adverse effects or difficulty taking the medication.
We manage pharmaceutical information necessary for effective and safe drug therapy. Information on new drugs, adverse effects, and administration method of currently used drugs is collected and provided to doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure that drugs are used safely.
Our hospital handles a wide range of pharmaceuticals, including oral, topical, and injectable drugs. We manage purchasing, inventory, supply, and quality control to ensure that the drugs prescribed to patients are used properly. We also strictly control special drugs that are regulated by law.
